As part of the preparation for the second phase of Daddys Embrace, the Foundation has initiated a territorial mapping process in Barra do Ceará, Fortaleza.
The work is being led by Military Police Colonels Rondon and Raul, aiming to build a comprehensive understanding of the local context before project implementation.
The mapping includes two key components:
A community resource map, identifying local services, public facilities, community leaders, and existing initiatives
A crime and violence map, analyzing patterns and risk factors that directly affect families
Barra do Ceará, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fortaleza, faces significant structural challenges, including high levels of social vulnerability, urban violence, and limited access to essential services. These conditions directly impact the wellbeing of parents, caregivers, and children.
This diagnostic approach ensures that the implementation of Daddys Embrace is grounded in evidence and aligned with the real needs of the territory.
The initiative reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to context-driven interventions, community engagement, and scalable impact.
